Car
From Quetzaltenango (Xela), head southeast on Calle 6 toward Avenida 15. Continue straight onto the CA-1 highway. Follow CA-1 for approximately 15 km until you reach the turnoff for Chicabal. Look for signs indicating 'Chicabal' and turn left onto the road leading to the village of San Martín Sacatepéquez. Drive 8 km along this road until you reach the entrance to the Chicabal Lagoon area. Parking is available at the entrance, and there may be a small fee for parking.

Public Transportation
To reach Chicabal using public transportation, go to the main bus terminal in Quetzaltenango (Xela) and look for buses heading to San Martín Sacatepéquez. The buses are usually marked with the destination. The ride will take about 30-40 minutes and costs approximately 10-15 quetzales.
