Car
If you are driving from anywhere in Pleinmont Point, head northeast on Rue des Coutanchez towards Rue des Pies. Continue straight until you reach the junction with the A3. Turn left onto the A3 and follow it for approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the A4 towards St. Peter Port. After about 1 mile (1.6 km), turn left onto Castle Emplacement. The Castle Breakwater Lighthouse will be visible at the end of the path. There is no parking directly at the lighthouse, but you can find parking spaces along Castle Emplacement or nearby streets.
Public Transportation
To reach Castle Breakwater Lighthouse using public transportation, start by taking the bus from Pleinmont Point. Board the bus heading towards St. Peter Port. It’s advisable to check the local bus schedules as they may vary. After approximately 15-20 minutes, disembark at the stop near Castle Emplacement. From the bus stop, walk northeast on Castle Emplacement for about 10 minutes. The Castle Breakwater Lighthouse will be at the end of the path. Make sure to check the bus return schedule to plan your journey back.
Walking
For those staying in Pleinmont Point, a scenic walk to Castle Breakwater Lighthouse is an excellent option. Start at the Pleinmont Point visitor area and head northeast along the coastal path. Follow the signs towards Castle Emplacement. The walk is approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km) and will take around 30-40 minutes. Enjoy the coastal views along the way. Once you arrive at Castle Emplacement, you will see the lighthouse at the end of the path.
