From La Ceiba, taxis are readily available to reach Pico Bonito National Park. Specify your desired entrance (Cangrejal River Entrance is most common). The ride takes approximately 20-30 minutes. Negotiate the fare beforehand; a reasonable rate is around 450 Lempiras ($18 USD) one way. Some lodges offer transport services for around $16 USD.

Public Transport
From La Ceiba, take a local bus towards Yaruca or El Pino, depending on which entrance you want to access. For the Cangrejal River entrance, buses depart from the San Jose Bus Terminal on Boulevard 15 de Septiembre, with the first bus leaving at 10:00 am. The bus will drop you off near the park entrance. Be aware that buses only stop when seats are available. The bus fare is approximately 25 Lempiras. ($1 USD).
