Metro
If you are near the Deák Ferenc tér metro station, take Metro Line 1 (Yellow Line) towards Vörösmarty tér. Get off at the Vörösmarty tér station. From there, walk straight along Váci utca, one of the main pedestrian streets in Budapest, until you reach Széchenyi tér. Turn left onto Széchenyi tér, and continue straight until you reach Szent István tér. The Basilica will be directly in front of you.

Tram
If you're near the Nyugati pályaudvar (Western Railway Station), you can take Tram 4 or 6. Board the tram in the direction of Széll Kálmán tér and get off at the 'Vigadó tér' stop. From there, walk towards the Danube River, then turn left and walk along the riverbank until you reach the Chain Bridge. Cross the bridge, and continue straight to Szent István tér, where the Basilica is located.

Bus
If you are at the Keleti pályaudvar (Eastern Railway Station), take Bus 7 towards 'Pesterzsébet, Búza tér'. Get off at the 'Károlyi Mihály utca' stop. Walk towards Astoria and then head down Rákóczi utca until you reach Kossuth Lajos tér. From Kossuth Lajos tér, walk to Szent István tér. The Basilica will be on your left.

If you are staying near the Parliament building, it’s a pleasant 15-minute walk. Head south on Kossuth Lajos tér towards the Danube River. Turn left on the bank of the river and walk along the promenade until you reach the Chain Bridge. Cross the bridge, then turn right on Szent István tér, where the Basilica is located.
