Public Transport (Metro + tram)
Start your journey at any metro station in Budapest. If you're at Deák Ferenc tér, take Metro Line 1 (the yellow line) towards Vörösmarty tér. Get off at the next stop, which is Bajcsy-Zsilinszky út. Here, transfer to Tram 4 or 6 (the blue trams) and travel towards Széll Kálmán tér. Get off at Széll Kálmán tér, where you can switch to the cogwheel railway (fogaskerekű) at the nearby station. Board the cogwheel railway towards Széchenyi-hegy. This scenic ride will take you up into the Buda hills. Once you arrive at the end of the cogwheel railway, walk a short distance to the Gyermekvasút station at Jánoshegy.

From the city center, find your way to the closest bus stop for bus number 29 at Széll Kálmán tér. Take bus 29 towards the Hűvösvölgy and get off at the Jánoshegy station.
