Walking
If you're in the center of Vác, head towards the Váci Cathedral (Váci Székesegyház) located at Kossuth Lajos utca. From there, take Kossuth Lajos utca south until you reach the junction with Árpád út. Turn left on Árpád út and continue straight until you reach the train station (Vác Vasútállomás). Once you arrive at the train station, take a train to Budapest, a journey lasting approximately 30-40 minutes. After arriving at Budapest Nyugati pályaudvar, exit the station and take tram line 4 or 6 towards Széll Kálmán tér. Get off at the Széll Kálmán tér stop and transfer to bus 16 or 16A towards Buda Castle. After a short ride, get off at the Kapisztrán tér stop, and you will find the Statue of St John Capistran nearby.

From Vác, make your way to the Váci train station (Vác Vasútállomás). Purchase a ticket to Budapest and board a train bound for Budapest Nyugati pályaudvar. Once you arrive at Nyugati station, exit the platform and head to the tram stop outside the station. Take tram line 4 or 6 towards Széll Kálmán tér. After a few stops, disembark at Széll Kálmán tér and transfer to bus line 16 or 16A. Ride this bus for a couple of stops, then get off at Kapisztrán tér. The Statue of St John Capistran is a short walk from the bus stop.
