Getting There

  • Public Transport (Metro + Bus)

    Start your journey at any metro station in Budapest and take the M2 (red line) metro towards Déli Pályaudvar. Get off at the Déli Pályaudvar station. From there, exit the metro station and follow the signs to the bus terminal located nearby. Once at the bus terminal, take bus number 21 or 21A towards 'Hűvösvölgy'. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at the 'Normafa' stop. You will find yourself near the hiking area.

  • Public Transport (Tram + Bus)

    If you are near the river, start your journey at the nearest tram station and take tram number 4 or 6 towards 'Széll Kálmán tér'. Get off at the Széll Kálmán tér stop. From there, find the bus terminal and take bus number 21 or 21A towards 'Hűvösvölgy'. After around 15 minutes, disembark at the 'Normafa' stop. You will be close to the hiking area and can start your exploration.

  • Walking from nearby locations

    If you are already in the Buda Hills, you can hike to Normafa from various points. If you're near János Hill, follow the marked hiking trails leading to Normafa. The trails are well signposted, and the hike should take around 30-45 minutes depending on your starting point.

  • Public Transport (Bus only)

    If you are near the city center, take bus number 105 from 'Széll Kálmán tér' directly towards 'Hűvösvölgy'. This bus will take you to the 'Normafa' stop in about 20 minutes. This is a convenient option if you prefer to skip the metro.
