Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from the center of Akureyri, head southwest on Hafnarstræti toward Sævarhöfði. Continue straight onto Glerárgata and follow it until you reach the intersection with Suðurgata. Turn left onto Suðurgata, and then take a right onto Aðalstræti. Follow Aðalstræti until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Norðurslóð and follow it until you see a sign for Óður til framtíðar. The sculpture is located on Súluvegur, approximately 5 minutes from the center of Akureyri.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Óður til framtíðar using public transport, find the nearest bus stop in Akureyri. Take Bus Line 1 towards the Akureyri Town Hall. You will need to change buses at the Town Hall to Bus Line 2. After boarding Bus Line 2, request a stop at Súluvegur. The bus ride will take about 15-20 minutes. After disembarking, walk a short distance towards the sculpture, which is located along Súluvegur. Be sure to check the local bus schedule for the most accurate times.

• Walking

  If you are already in the vicinity of the Akureyri city center and prefer walking, head towards Hafnarstræti street. From there, walk south toward Glerárgata. Continue along Glerárgata, then take a left onto Suðurgata and then a right onto Aðalstræti. Follow Aðalstræti until you reach the roundabout, then take the second exit onto Norðurslóð. Continue walking until you reach Súluvegur, where you will find Óður til framtíðar approximately 1.5 kilometers from the center. The walk should take around 20-25 minutes.
