Getting There

Walking
From the Akureyri city center, head northeast on Hafnarstræti towards the harbor. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Strandgata. Turn left onto Strandgata, and follow it until you reach the bus terminal (Strætó). From the bus terminal, you can take bus number 4 towards 'Kötabyggð' which will take you directly to the stop nearest to Viking Cottages and Apartments.

At the Akureyri bus terminal, purchase a ticket for bus number 4 towards 'Kötabyggð'. The bus should arrive every 30 minutes. Stay on the bus for about 10 minutes, and disembark at the 'Kötabyggð' stop. From there, it is a short 5-minute walk to Viking Cottages and Apartments located at Kotabyggð 16. Head east on Kötabyggð street, and you will find the destination on your left.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Akureyri. Start from the city center and head towards the coast along the bike paths.
