Walking
From the center of Ísafjörður, head towards the Ísafjarðardjúp fjord. Follow the main road, Aðalstræti, until you reach the bus station near the harbor. This is your starting point for your journey. From the bus station, take the bus to Reykjarfjörður. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Reykjarfjörður, you will be dropped off at the main bus stop. From there, head towards the coast. You will follow a path that leads you along the water's edge. Look for a trail that goes uphill towards the Abandoned Barn, which is about a 20-minute walk from the bus stop. The barn is located at JF6F+25M, 466 Reykjarfjörður, and is visible from a distance as you approach.

Cycling
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Ísafjörður. Start your journey from the bike rental shop located near the main square. Head towards Aðalstræti and follow the main road out of Ísafjörður towards Reykjarfjörður. The cycling distance is approximately 12 kilometers and may take around 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on your cycling speed. Once you arrive at Reykjarfjörður, park your bike at the bus stop, then follow the same walking path described above to reach the Abandoned Barn, which is about a 20-minute walk from the bus stop.

Hiking
For those who enjoy hiking, you can start from the center of Ísafjörður and take a scenic route through the nearby hills. From the main square, head towards the hiking trails that lead out of the town. Follow the trail markers towards Reykjarfjörður. This route will take you through beautiful landscapes and should take around 2-3 hours depending on your pace. Once you reach Reykjarfjörður, you can follow the coastal path towards the Abandoned Barn, which is about a 20-minute walk from the bus stop.
