Walking
From the center of Olafsvik, head south on the main road (Route 54) towards Hellissandur. The distance is approximately 8 km. As you walk, enjoy the beautiful coastal scenery. After about 1.5 km, you will reach a fork in the road; keep to the left to stay on Route 54. Continue for another 6.5 km, where you will see signs for Hellissandur. Upon entering Hellissandur, look for Sandhraun 5, which will be on your right. The Þjóðgarðsmiðstöð á Hellissandi (National Park Center) will be located at this address.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start from the center of Olafsvik and ride south on Route 54. The ride is approximately 8 km. The route is fairly straight, and you can enjoy the fresh air and stunning views. Watch for the left fork in the road after 1.5 km; stay on the main road. After 6.5 km, you'll enter Hellissandur. Sandhraun 5 will be on your right, and this is where you will find Þjóðgarðsmiðstöð á Hellissandi (National Park Center).
