From the bus stop in Hellissandur, walk towards Sandhraun 5, which is the address for the entrance of Snæfellsjökull National Park. The walk is approximately 1.5 kilometers and should take about 20-25 minutes. Follow the road signs directing you towards Snæfellsjökull National Park. The path is straightforward, leading you along quiet roads with beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.

If you prefer a more adventurous route, consider renting a bike in Olafsvik. Once you have your bike, take the main road from Olafsvik to Hellissandur, following Route 574. The distance is about 18 kilometers and will take approximately 1-1.5 hours depending on your cycling speed. Once in Hellissandur, continue to Sandhraun 5 for the entrance to Snæfellsjökull National Park.
