Walking
Starting from the Grandi area, head towards the waterfront along the main road, Grandi. Keep walking straight for about 10-15 minutes until you reach the intersection with Grandagarður street. Turn left onto Grandagarður and continue walking for about 5 minutes. The Reykjavík Maritime Museum will be on your left at Grandagarður 8.
Public Bus
If you prefer to take public transport, you can catch Bus 1 from the nearest bus stop in the Grandi area. Look for the stop named 'Grandi' and board the bus heading towards 'Hlemmur'. Ride the bus for approximately 5 minutes and get off at the 'Grandagarður' stop. From there, it's a short 2-minute walk to the museum, which will be on your right at Grandagarður 8. Please note that a single bus ticket costs around 490 ISK.
Bicycle Rental
For a more adventurous route, consider renting a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Grandi. Once you have a bike, head towards the waterfront and follow the bike paths along the coast. It should take you around 10 minutes to cycle to the museum. Park your bike at the designated bike racks near the entrance of the Reykjavík Maritime Museum at Grandagarður 8.
