Car
From Skaftafell, start by heading south on Route 1 (the Ring Road). Continue driving for about 20 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for F985 (a gravel road). Turn left onto F985 and follow this road for approximately 5 kilometers. This road will lead you towards the glacier lagoon. As you approach Breiðamerkurjökull, you will see parking areas near the lagoon. Make sure to park your vehicle in designated areas. Note that there is no fee for parking.
