Car
If you are driving from Reykjavik, take Route 1 (the Ring Road) heading north. After approximately 112 km, take the exit onto Route 60 towards Búðardalur. Continue on Route 60 for about 30 km until you reach Haukadalsvegur. Turn left onto Haukadalsvegur and follow the road for about 5 km. Eiríksstaðir will be on your right at Haukadalsvegur 371. Make sure to check the road conditions as they can change rapidly.

To reach Eiríksstaðir by bus, take the Strætó bus service from Reykjavik to Búðardalur. The bus typically departs from the BSI Bus Station in Reykjavik. Check the Strætó website for the latest schedule. Once you arrive in Búðardalur, you will need to arrange for a taxi to take you to Eiríksstaðir, as it is approximately 5 km away from the bus stop. Be sure to confirm taxi availability in advance.
