Car
To reach Byggðasafn Húnvetninga & Strandamanna by car, head towards the town of Borðeyri. If you're coming from the direction of Akureyri, take Route 1 (the Ring Road) heading northwest. After approximately 200 km, take the exit towards Route 68 at Blönduós. Continue on Route 68 for about 30 km until you reach the intersection with Route 1 again. Turn right onto Route 1 and follow it for about 8 km. Then, take the exit for Borðeyri. Once in Borðeyri, follow the local signs to the museum, which is located at 7V3R+VR5, 500 Borðeyri. Make sure to check your GPS for the precise location.
