    From Bolingbrook, head to the nearest bus stop for the Pace Bus Route 755. Board the bus heading towards the Romeoville Metra Station. After about a 30-minute ride, get off at the Romeoville Metra Station. Once there, transfer to the Metra Rock Island Line train towards Chicago. Stay on the train for approximately 45 minutes, and disembark at the LaSalle Street Station. From LaSalle Street Station, walk east along Adams Street until you reach Michigan Avenue, then turn left and walk north. The Art Institute of Chicago will be on your left at 111 S Michigan Ave.

  • Train

    Begin your journey by taking the Pace Bus Route 834 from Bolingbrook to the nearest Metra station, which is either the Route 59 or the Naperville Station. Once you arrive at the station, board the Metra BNSF Line towards Chicago Union Station. After about 40 minutes, get off at the Union Station. From Union Station, head east on Adams Street until you reach Michigan Avenue. Turn left and walk north; the Art Institute of Chicago will be located at 111 S Michigan Ave, just a few blocks away.

    If you’re up for a bike ride, you can rent a bike from a local bike shop in Bolingbrook. Start by heading east on Boughton Road. Follow the bike lanes towards the DuPage River Trail, which will lead you north. Continue on the trail until you reach the downtown area of Naperville.
