Public Transit - CTA Blue Line
From Wicker Park, head to the Damen station on the Blue Line. Board a train heading towards O'Hare. Ride the train for about 10 minutes until you reach the Washington station. Exit the train and walk east on Washington St for two blocks until you reach Michigan Ave. Turn right and walk south on Michigan Ave for about 5 minutes until you arrive at The Art Institute of Chicago, located at 111 S Michigan Ave.
Public Transit - CTA Bus
You can take the #70 Division bus from Wicker Park. Board the bus at Division and Damen and head east. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at the stop at Michigan Ave. Walk south for about 5 minutes to reach The Art Institute of Chicago at 111 S Michigan Ave.
Walking
If you prefer to walk and the weather is nice, you can walk from Wicker Park to The Art Institute of Chicago. Head south on Damen Ave until you reach Division St. Turn left (east) on Division and walk until you reach Michigan Ave. Turn right and walk south for about 10-15 minutes to arrive at The Art Institute, located at 111 S Michigan Ave.
Bike
If you enjoy biking, you can rent a Divvy bike from one of the nearby stations in Wicker Park. Head south along Damen Ave, then turn east on Division St. Continue towards Michigan Ave. Once you reach the museum, you can park your bike at the bike racks available near the entrance at 111 S Michigan Ave. Note that Divvy bike rentals typically cost $3.50 for a single ride.
