From Palatine Metra Station, take the Union Pacific Northwest Line train towards Chicago. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes. Make sure to get off at the Ogilvie Transportation Center. Once you arrive at Ogilvie, follow the signs to the transfer area for the 'L' trains.

At Ogilvie Transportation Center, take the Green Line or Pink Line train towards 18th. Get off at the Clark/Lake station. From the Clark/Lake station, transfer to the Blue Line train towards O'Hare. Get off at the Washington station. Once you exit the station, head east on Washington Street, and the Lorado Taft Marker of Distinction will be on your left at 78 E Washington St.

After arriving at Ogilvie Transportation Center, you can take the #20 Madison bus towards Pulaski. Get off at the Washington & Dearborn stop. From there, walk east on Washington Street for about 3 blocks and you will see the Lorado Taft Marker of Distinction at 78 E Washington St on your left.

If you prefer to walk from Ogilvie Transportation Center, exit the station and head south on Canal Street. Continue walking until you reach Washington Street, then turn left and head east.
