Delabar State Park, a tranquil 89-acre retreat in Henderson County, Illinois, is located about 1.5 miles north of Oquawka, along the Mississippi River. The park was established in 1960, thanks to a land donation by brothers Roy and Jack Delabar in 1959.The park's landscape is characterized by sturdy oaks, birch, and hickory trees, providing a natural habitat for various wildlife species. Birdwatchers will delight in spotting over 50 species of birds, while others may encounter squirrels, rabbits, raccoons, deer, and groundhogs.Delabar State Park offers a range of recreational activities.
