Getting There

• Public Bus

  From downtown Rockford, head to the Rockford Mass Transit District bus stop located at 515 N Main St. Take Bus Route 10 (East State) towards East State St & Mulford Rd. Ride the bus for about 20 minutes and get off at the stop at East State St & Mulford Rd. From there, transfer to Bus Route 7 (Spring Creek) and continue towards Spring Creek Rd. After approximately 10 more minutes, get off at the stop closest to 318 Spring Creek Rd. Walk about 5 minutes to reach Anderson Japanese Gardens.

• Bicycle

  If you're renting a bicycle in Rockford, start at the Riverwalk along the Rock River. Head north on the Riverwalk until you reach the intersection with N Main St. Turn right and head east on N Main St until you reach E State St. Turn left onto E State St and follow it until you reach Mulford Rd. Turn right onto Mulford Rd and continue until you reach Spring Creek Rd. Finally, turn left onto Spring Creek Rd and follow it for about 1 mile to arrive at Anderson Japanese Gardens.

• Walking

  If you are near downtown Rockford, start by walking towards the riverfront. Head east on E State St until you reach Mulford Rd. After about 1 mile, turn left onto Mulford Rd. Continue walking on Mulford Rd for about 1.5 miles, then turn left onto Spring Creek Rd. Walk along Spring Creek Rd for about 0.5 miles until you arrive at Anderson Japanese Gardens, located at 318 Spring Creek Rd.
