From Kochi, head to the nearest ferry terminal, which is the Fort Kochi Ferry Terminal. You can take a local bus or an auto-rickshaw to reach there. Once at the terminal, purchase a ticket for the ferry to Vypin Island. The ferry ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Upon reaching Vypin, you will need to catch a local bus or auto-rickshaw to Alappuzha. Look for buses heading to Alappuzha Bus Stand.

From the Alappuzha Bus Stand, look for buses headed towards Komalapuram or Aaryad. The journey will take around 30 minutes. Once you reach Komalapuram, you can hire an auto-rickshaw to take you to Ward Avalokunnu, where the Kuttanad Backwater Cruise is located. It's a short ride of about 10 minutes.
