    From Munnar town center, head east on the Munnar - Kochi Highway (NH 185) towards Adimaly. Continue for about 22 km until you reach the town of Adimaly. Once in Adimaly, take a left onto the Pooyamkutty - Mankulam Road. Follow this road for approximately 12 km. You will see signs for Thattekad Bird Sanctuary along the way. The sanctuary entrance will be on your left.

    Start at the Munnar Bus Station and take a bus heading towards Kochi. Get off at Adimaly, which is about 22 km away. From Adimaly, you can either hire a taxi or take a local bus to Thattekad. If you take a taxi, it will take about 30 minutes to reach the sanctuary. If opting for a local bus, catch a bus towards Pooyamkutty and get off at the Thattekad stop. The sanctuary is a short walk from there.
