From downtown Gary, head to the nearest bus stop at 5th Avenue and Broadway. Take the Gary Public Transportation Corporation (GPTC) Route 10 bus toward Chicago. Stay on the bus for approximately 45 minutes. When you reach the stop at 95th Street and State Street in Chicago, transfer to the CTA Red Line train. Board the train heading north toward Howard. After about 20 minutes, get off at the State/Lake Station. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to the Lyric Opera of Chicago, located at 20 N Wacker Dr. Head east on W Lake St, then turn left onto N Wacker Dr, and continue until you see the venue on your right.

From the Gary Metro Center, take the South Shore Line train toward Chicago. The journey takes about 50 minutes. Disembark at the Millennium Station in Chicago. Once you arrive, exit the station and walk two blocks east on East Randolph St. Turn right onto North State St and walk south for another two blocks. Finally, turn left onto Wacker Dr, and the Lyric Opera of Chicago will be on your right at 20 N Wacker Dr.
