Getting There

    If you're driving within Indiana Dunes National Park, head towards the entrance of the park and follow the signs for Tolleston Dunes. Once you enter the park, continue on the main road until you reach the intersection with Unnamed Road. Turn onto Unnamed Road (this may not be marked with a sign). Follow the road until you arrive at the Tolleston Dunes parking area, which is a designated free parking lot. There are no entry fees for this area, making it an economical option for visitors.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Tolleston Dunes via public transportation, take the South Shore Line train to the Ogden Dunes station. From the station, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles to reach the Tolleston Dunes parking area. Exit the station and head west on Lake Shore Drive, then turn right onto Unnamed Road. Follow Unnamed Road to the parking area. Please note that walking from the train station may take around 30 minutes, so plan accordingly.
