If you are starting from the Soldiers and Sailors Monument located at the center of Monument Circle, the Indianapolis Pride Historical Marker is just a short walk away. From the monument, head south on Meridian Street for one block. Continue to follow the curve of the circle as it turns into Washington Street. You will see the marker located in a small park area on your left just past the intersection with Illinois Street. The entire walk should take no more than 5 minutes.

To reach the Indianapolis Pride Historical Marker using public transit, locate the nearest IndyGo bus stop. You can catch the Red Line at any of the stops along Washington Street heading south. Disembark at the stop closest to Monument Circle, which is the 'Monument Circle' stop. From there, walk north towards the marker, which should be visible from the bus stop. The bus fare is $1.75 for a one-way trip.
