If you are starting in downtown Michigan City, walk east on Franklin Street towards the Washington Park area. Continue straight until you reach Lake Shore Drive. Turn right onto Lake Shore Drive and follow it until you reach US-12. Once you are at US-12, turn left and continue walking until you see the entrance to Friendship Botanic Gardens on your right at 2055 US-12. The total walking distance is approximately 2.5 miles and should take around 50 minutes.
