If you are driving to Barker Mansion from anywhere in The Calumet Region, start by getting onto I-94 E. Continue on I-94 E for approximately 20 miles. Take exit 40A for US-421 S toward Michigan City. Merge onto US-421 S and continue for about 5 miles. As you approach Michigan City, turn left onto E 8th St, and then a right onto Washington St. Barker Mansion will be on your left at 631 Washington St, Michigan City, IN 46360. Parking is available nearby, but be mindful of any parking fees that may apply.

To reach Barker Mansion via public transportation, first take a South Shore Line train from your nearest station in The Calumet Region (e.g., Hammond or East Chicago) heading towards Michigan City. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on your starting location. Get off at the Michigan City station. From there, you can either walk (about 1 mile) or take a local taxi or rideshare service to Barker Mansion at 631 Washington St. If you choose to walk, head east on W 11th St toward Franklin St, turn right onto Franklin St, and then left onto Washington St. Barker Mansion will be on your left. Note that train tickets typically cost around $6-10 one way.
