From The Dunes area, head east on Route 12 (Indianapolis Blvd) until you reach the intersection with Route 35. Turn south onto Route 35 and continue for approximately 5 miles. Then, turn right onto Rice St. Continue on Rice St for about 0.5 miles, and you will find the entrance to Mount Baldy on your left. There is no entrance fee for the park.

If you are using public transportation, start at the nearest South Shore Line station in The Dunes. Take the train towards Chicago and get off at the Michigan City station. From there, you can catch a local bus (Line 1 - Michigan City Route) that heads towards the Indiana Dunes National Park. The bus stops near Mount Baldy, and you will need to walk approximately 0.3 miles to reach the entrance. Check local bus schedules for the most accurate times. The train fare is typically around $7 one way.

For those who prefer biking, there are bike paths that lead from various points in The Dunes to Mount Baldy.
