If you're traveling by car, head towards Probolinggo Regency in East Java. From Surabaya, which is about 2.5 to 3 hours away, take the Jl. Ahmad Yani road by following the signs to Probolinggo. Once you reach Probolinggo, continue on Jl. Raya Probolinggo - Bromo, and follow the signs towards Lumbang. About 20 km before reaching Lumbang, you will see signage for Madakaripura Waterfall. Park your vehicle in the designated area, and prepare for a short hike.

From Surabaya, you can take a bus from the Bungurasih Bus Terminal to Probolinggo. The journey takes approximately 3 to 4 hours. Once in Probolinggo, you can catch a local minibus or ojek (motorcycle taxi) to take you to the Madakaripura Waterfall entrance. The cost for the bus ranges from IDR 50,000 to IDR 100,000, and the local transport might cost around IDR 20,000 to IDR 30,000.
