    If you are renting a car in Tana Toraja, head north on the main road (Jalan Poros Makassar-Rantepao) towards Rantepao. Continue driving for approximately 10 km until you reach a junction. At the junction, follow the signs for Sangalla and turn left. Continue on this road for about 15 km. You'll see a sign for Tongkonan Karuaya on your right, just before you enter the village of Tumbang Datu. The GPS coordinates are approximately -3.0491935, 119.9121156. Make sure your car is equipped for mountainous terrain.

  • Public Transportation (Minibus)

    From the main bus station in Rantepao, take a minibus heading towards Sangalla. The fare is around IDR 20,000. Inform the driver you want to go to Tongkonan Karuaya. The journey will take about 30-40 minutes. The minibus will drop you off near the entrance to Tumbang Datu. From there, you may need to walk approximately 1 km to reach Tongkonan Karuaya.
