Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Rantepao, the main town in Tana Toraja. Head north on Jalan Poros Rantepao - Makale. Continue for approximately 7 kilometers until you reach the intersection at Kesu. Turn left onto Jalan Kesu. Follow this road for about 5 kilometers until you reach Ba'tan. Mama Tia Family Homestay is located on the right side of the road at Ba'tan, Kesu. Look for a sign indicating the homestay.

Public Transportation - Minibus
To reach Mama Tia Family Homestay using public transportation, take a minibus (also known as angkot) from Rantepao to Kesu. Minibuses frequently depart from the central terminal in Rantepao. The fare is around 20,000 IDR per person. Once you arrive in Kesu, request to be dropped off at Ba'tan. From there, it is a short walk to Mama Tia Family Homestay. Make sure to confirm the drop-off point with the driver, as they are familiar with local landmarks.

For a more adventurous option, consider renting a motorbike in Rantepao. Rental services are available throughout the town, with prices typically around 100,000 IDR per day. Once you have your motorbike, take Jalan Poros Rantepao - Makale north towards Kesu. Follow the same route as described for driving. After about 12 kilometers, you will reach Ba'tan. Look for the homestay on your right. Ensure you have a valid driver's license and wear a helmet for safety.
