Getting There

  • Car

    From Ubud, head east on Jalan Raya Ubud towards Jalan Raya Tampaksiring. Continue on Jalan Raya Tampaksiring for about 9 km until you reach the junction at Tegallalang. Turn left onto Jalan Raya Tegallalang and proceed for about 6 km. You will eventually reach the intersection with Jalan Raya Sengkidu. Turn right onto Jalan Raya Sengkidu, which will lead you towards Bukit Gumang. Follow the signs for Bukit Gumang; the peak is approximately 4 km from this intersection. Parking is available at the base of Bukit Gumang.

  • Public Transportation (Bemo)

    From Ubud Center, head to the Ubud Bemo Terminal and take a bemo (a shared minibus) heading towards Amlapura or Candidasa. The fare is approximately IDR 30,000 to IDR 50,000. Request to be dropped off at the Sengkidu area. Once dropped off, you will need to walk approximately 4 km to reach Bukit Gumang. It's advisable to use a map application for navigation or ask locals for directions to the peak.

  • Motorbike Rental

    Rent a motorbike from one of the many rental shops in Ubud. Prices typically range from IDR 70,000 to IDR 150,000 per day. From Ubud, follow the same route as by car: head east on Jalan Raya Ubud, then onto Jalan Raya Tampaksiring and Jalan Raya Tegallalang. After reaching Jalan Raya Sengkidu, follow the signs to Bukit Gumang. Be cautious of the steep roads and parking at the base of the mountain.
