Car

If you are driving, start from the center of Ubud and head east on Jl. Raya Ubud. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Jl. Raya Bypass Ngurah Rai. Turn right onto Jl. Raya Bypass Ngurah Rai and continue for approximately 13 km. You will pass through several towns, including Gianyar. Look for signs directing you towards Karangasem. Follow the signs and after about 5 km, turn left onto Jl. Raya Besakih. Drive for another 10 km until you reach Pura Pengubengan, located on your left. Make sure to have cash for any parking fees that may apply.
Public Transportation (Bus/Minivan)

From Ubud, go to the Ubud Bus Station and take a bus or minivan heading to Amlapura or Karangasem. Ensure you confirm with the driver that they stop near Besakih. The ride will take approximately 1-1.5 hours depending on traffic. Upon reaching Besakih, you can take a local taxi or a shared ride to Pura Pengubengan. It should be a short drive from the main road. Expect to pay a small fare for the taxi, which may range from IDR 20,000 to IDR 50,000.
