The lake is approximately 15 km from the main road. Parking is available near the lake, but be prepared for a small fee that may range from IDR 5,000 to IDR 10,000.

    To reach Danau Singkarak via public transportation, take a bus from Padang to Solok. Buses leave frequently from the Padang bus terminal (Terminal Alang-Alang Lebar).
