To reach the Science Center of Iowa from Ankeny using public transit, start by walking to the nearest bus stop. You can catch the DART bus Route 1 at Ankeny City Hall. Board the bus towards downtown Des Moines. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the DART Central Station in downtown Des Moines, transfer to Route 60. Take Route 60 towards Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway. Get off at the stop closest to 401 W Martin Luther King Jr Pkwy. The Science Center of Iowa will be a short walk from there.

Bicycle
If you're biking from Ankeny to the Science Center of Iowa, start on NE 36th St, heading south. Follow NE 36th St until you reach the intersection with I-80. Take the bike path that runs parallel to the west side of the freeway. Continue on the bike path until you reach the Des Moines River. From there, follow the river bike path south. Once you reach the downtown area, navigate towards W Martin Luther King Jr Pkwy, where the Science Center of Iowa is located at 401 W Martin Luther King Jr Pkwy.

Walking from Ankeny to the Science Center of Iowa is a longer journey, approximately 10 miles. Start at your location in Ankeny and head south on Ankeny Blvd (US-69) towards Des Moines. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with I-80. Cross over and continue onto Martin Luther King Jr Pkwy. Walk along the parkway until you reach the Science Center of Iowa, located at 401 W Martin Luther King Jr Pkwy. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated!
