    If you're starting from downtown Council Bluffs, head to the nearest bus stop for the Metro Area Transit (MAT) bus service. Take the bus route 3 towards the South Side. Get off at the stop at 16th Ave and South Omaha Bridge Road. From there, walk south along South Shore Drive for approximately 1.5 miles until you reach the entrance of Lake Manawa State Park at 1100 S Shore Dr.

    Rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Council Bluffs. From downtown, head south on 16th Ave, then turn left onto South Omaha Bridge Road. Follow the road until you reach the intersection with South Shore Drive. Turn left and continue biking for about 1.5 miles, where you will find the entrance to Lake Manawa State Park at 1100 S Shore Dr.
