From any location in Achill Island, head towards the mainland via the Achill Sound Bridge. Once you cross the bridge, continue on the N59 road towards Belmullet. After approximately 30 minutes, you will reach the town of Belmullet. From Belmullet, take the R313 towards Glenlara. Follow the signs for Erris Head Loop Walk. The trailhead is located at Glenlara, just off the R313. Make sure to park safely and observe any local parking regulations.

If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from Achill Island to Belmullet. Bus services such as Bus Éireann operate routes that connect Achill to Belmullet, but be sure to check the schedule in advance as services may be limited. Once in Belmullet, you can either walk or take a taxi to the R313 towards Glenlara to access the Erris Head Loop Walk. Note that taxi services may incur additional costs.
