    From Athlone, head to the Athlone Train Station, located at Station Road. Take a train towards Longford. The journey takes approximately 25 minutes. Get off at Roscommon Train Station. Once you exit the station, head northwest on the N61.

    Alternatively, you can take a bus from Athlone. Find the Bus Éireann stop at the Athlone Bus Station on the Northgate Street. Board the bus heading to Roscommon town. The bus journey takes about 30-40 minutes, depending on the service. Once you arrive at Roscommon town, exit the bus and head towards the N61.

    If you choose to walk from Roscommon Train Station or Bus Station, continue on the N61 road for about 1 kilometer. Follow the signs towards Castle Lane. You will eventually reach Roscommon Castle, located on Castle Lane in Cloonbrackna.
