The Bushmills platform is located a short walk from the town center, approximately 50 meters from the Diamond, along the Causeway Coast road towards Portrush. The walk to the Giant's Causeway from Bushmills is approximately 2.5 miles.

    From Bushmills Diamond, take the Translink bus 402 towards Giant's Causeway. The bus journey takes approximately 1 minute, and services depart hourly. The bus will drop you off at Bushfoot Cottages, which is a short walk from the Giant's Causeway & Bushmills Railway.

    From Bushmills town center, follow the signs for the Giant's Causeway. At the first junction, turn left onto the B147 Causeway Road. Continue straight ahead to the next junction and turn left onto Runkerry Road. The Giant's Causeway Station is 400 yards on the right. Parking is available at the Giant's Causeway Station, Runkerry Road, BT57 8SZ.

The Giant's Causeway & Bushmills Railway (GC&BR) provides a charming and nostalgic way to travel between the village of Bushmills and the world-renowned Giant's Causeway. This heritage railway operates on a narrow-gauge track, reminiscent of traditional Irish railways, and covers a two-mile stretch along the breathtaking Causeway Coast. The railway follows the route of the original Giant's Causeway Tramway, which was established in 1883 as one of the first long electric tramways in the world. The original tramway, the brainchild of William Traill, was powered by hydroelectricity and transported passengers for over 65 years before closing in 1949. Revived in 2002, the GC&BR offers visitors a chance to experience this historic route in vintage-style carriages. The diesel locomotive takes passengers on a 20-minute journey, offering panoramic views of the North Antrim coast, Portballintrea, and Bushfoot Golf Course.
