If you're traveling by car, start from the main entrance of Connemara National Park located on the N59 road. Head southwest on the N59 towards Clifden for approximately 10 kilometers. Look for the R336 road on your left towards Roundstone. Follow the R336 for about 5 kilometers until you reach the junction for the Lough Shindilla area. Turn right and continue on this road for another 2 kilometers until you reach the parking area near the lough. Be aware that some roads may be narrow and winding, so drive carefully.

To reach Lough Shindilla using public transportation, take a bus from Galway City to Clifden. The bus service 'Citylink' operates on this route.
