Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start by navigating to the town of Kinvara in County Galway. From Galway city center, take the N59 road heading south. After approximately 20 km, you will reach the roundabout at Kinvara. Continue straight on the N67 road towards Kinvara for about 5 km. Once you arrive in Kinvara, follow the signs to Cloonasee. The Burren Nature Sanctuary & Botanical Collection is located at Cloonasee, Kinvara, Co. Galway, H91 PTK7, which should be well marked. There is parking available on-site.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Burren Nature Sanctuary via public transportation, take a bus from Galway city to Kinvara. Bus Eireann operates services on this route. Check the timetable for the latest schedule, as it may vary. Once you arrive in Kinvara, you may need to walk or take a taxi to Cloonasee, which is about 3 km from the bus stop. Alternatively, you can check with local taxi services for a direct ride to the sanctuary. Ensure to check the bus return schedule to plan your trip back.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Galway city. Follow the N59 road south towards Kinvara. The bike ride will take you through scenic views of the Irish countryside. Once you reach Kinvara, follow the same route as outlined for cars to get to Burren Nature Sanctuary & Botanical Collection. Please note that cycling may take longer, so plan accordingly.

• Walking

  If you are already in Kinvara and prefer walking, you can enjoy a scenic stroll to the Burren Nature Sanctuary. From the center of Kinvara, head southeast on the N67 road towards Cloonasee. The sanctuary is about 3 km away, and the walk will take approximately 40 minutes. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay safe by using designated pedestrian walkways.
