Getting There

Walking
Start at the Salthill Promenade, which is a popular spot for tourists. Head east along the promenade towards the Salthill village center. Continue straight until you reach the corner of the promenade where you can see the Salthill Church on your left. Turn right onto the main road, and keep walking until you reach the bus stop at the intersection of the main road and the road leading to Knocknacarra. From here, take the Bus Eireann route number 51 towards Gort. It's advisable to check the bus schedule at the station or online. After about 25 minutes, get off the bus at the stop for Kinvarra. The Burren Nature Sanctuary is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Head south on the main road, then take a left onto Cloonasee Road. Follow this road until you see the entrance to The Burren Nature Sanctuary on your right.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Salthill. Start on the Salthill Promenade and cycle towards the village center. From there, head east on the main road towards Knocknacarra. Continue straight until you reach the bus stop at the intersection, then take a left onto Cloonasee Road. Follow this road for about 3 kilometers until you reach The Burren Nature Sanctuary. The journey should take about 30-40 minutes depending on your cycling speed.
