Car
From Croagh Patrick, head southeast on R335 towards Westport. After approximately 6.5 km, take a left onto N59 towards Ballina. Continue on N59 for about 22 km until you reach the junction with R332. Take the exit onto R332 towards Clonbur. Drive for around 8 km until you arrive at Clonbur Woods. Look for signs indicating Big Island within the woods.

Public Transportation
From Croagh Patrick, walk to the nearest bus stop and take bus number 51 towards Westport. After about 15 minutes, get off at Westport Bus Station. From there, catch a Bus Eireann service towards Ballina. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the stop for Clonbur Village. Once in Clonbur, it is about a 2 km walk to Clonbur Woods. Follow the signs leading to the woods, and Big Island is located within the park area.
