    From the centre of Westport, walk to the Westport Bus Station located on Station Road. Take the Bus Éireann service towards Galway and ask the driver to drop you off at Cong. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Cong, exit the bus and head towards the village center. From there, follow the signs to Ard Na Gaoithe, which is about a 20-minute walk from the bus stop, through the scenic countryside.

  • Walking

    If you prefer to walk, you can start from the Westport Town Hall. Head south on James Street, then turn left onto Bridge Street. Continue straight until you reach the Quay area and follow the path along the river. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will reach the N59 road. Carefully cross the road and follow the signs towards Cong. The total walking distance is approximately 14 kilometers, which will take around 3-4 hours depending on your pace.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Westport. Start at the Westport Town Hall and head south on James Street, then take the cycle path along the river towards the Quay area. Follow the N59 road towards Cong, which is approximately 14 kilometers away. The ride should take about 1 hour, depending on your cycling speed. Upon arriving in Cong, follow the signs to Ard Na Gaoithe.
