Walking
From Merrion Square, exit the square onto Merrion Square West. Walk straight towards the intersection with Haddington Road. Continue walking straight, and you will soon see the iconic entrance of the National Gallery of Ireland on your left. The distance is approximately 500 meters and should take about 6-7 minutes on foot.

Public Transport (Bus)
If you prefer not to walk, you can take a bus from Merrion Square to the National Gallery of Ireland. Head to the nearest bus stop on Merrion Square West. Look for buses 7, 8, or 45 that head towards Dublin City Centre. Get off at the stop for 'Suffolk Street' which is the nearest stop to the gallery. From the bus stop, it is a short 5-minute walk to the gallery entrance. A single bus fare is approximately €2.00.
