Walking
If you are in the city center of Kilkenny, start at the Kilkenny Castle. From the castle, walk straight down the Castle Road until you reach the junction with Parliament Street. Turn left onto Parliament Street and continue walking until you reach the junction with High Street. Turn right onto High Street and walk for about 10 minutes. You will cross the River Nore and continue onto the city center. As you walk, keep an eye out for the signs directing you towards Waterford. After about 20 minutes of walking, you will reach the bus station. From there, catch a bus heading to Waterford City. The journey takes about 1 hour, and you will arrive at the Waterford bus station. From the bus station, it's a 15-minute walk to Cathedral Square. Head south on the Quay, then take a left onto the main road, and follow the signs for The Viking Triangle. You will see Cathedral Square ahead.

Begin your journey from Kilkenny's city center. Make your way to the Kilkenny Bus Station, which is located at 1-2 John Street, Kilkenny. Once there, look for buses heading to Waterford City. The bus service is frequent, usually every hour. Purchase a ticket to Waterford, and the journey will take approximately 1 hour. After arriving at Waterford's bus station, exit and head southeast towards the city center. Follow the main road for about 0.5 miles, and then turn left onto the Quay. Continue walking straight until you reach the junction with Cathedral Square. The Medieval Museum is located at Cathedral Square in The Viking Triangle.
