    From the center of Kilkenny, start at the Kilkenny Castle. Head southeast on The Parade towards the river. Cross the bridge and turn left onto the Ring Road (N77). Continue walking along the N77 for approximately 2.5 kilometers until you reach the roundabout at the junction with the R697. Take the second exit onto the R697, following the signs for Freshford. After about 1 kilometer, you will see a sign for Burnchurch. Turn right onto Unnamed Road and continue straight for about 500 meters. You will find Burnchurch Castle on your left.

    Starting from Kilkenny Castle, rent a bicycle from a local shop. Head southeast on The Parade towards the river and cross the bridge. Follow the N77 Ring Road for approximately 2.5 kilometers.
