Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Kilkenny Castle, exit the castle grounds and head southeast on Castle Road. Follow the road as it turns into The Parade, and continue straight until you reach the junction. Turn left onto John Street, and then take the first right onto Patrick Street. Continue down Patrick Street for about 10 minutes, and you will find Historic Kilkenny at 11 Patrick St, Gardens, Kilkenny, R95 VNP4.

    From the Butler Gallery at Evans’ Home, head west on the footpath toward the river. Cross the bridge at the end of the street, and continue straight. As you walk along the riverbank, take the path leading to the right when you reach the roundabout. This will take you towards the city center. Follow the signs to Patrick Street, and you will arrive at Historic Kilkenny in about 15 minutes.
