Walking
From the center of Kilkenny, start at the Kilkenny Castle. Head southeast on The Parade, and continue straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto the N76. Walk along the N76 for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with the R694. Turn left onto the R694. After about 1 kilometer, you will see signs for Kilfane Demesne. Follow the signs, and you will find the Cantwell Fada effigy within the grounds of Kilfane Demesne.

Start at the Kilkenny bus station located on MacDonagh Junction. Take the bus to Thomastown, which is approximately a 20-minute ride. Once you arrive at Thomastown, exit the bus and head southwest towards the R700. Follow the R700 for about 2 kilometers until you reach the entrance to Kilfane Demesne. The Cantwell Fada effigy is located within the grounds.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Kilkenny. From the city center, head towards the N76, which you will follow for approximately 2 kilometers. Once on the N76, turn left at the R694 junction. Continue on R694 for about 1 kilometer, and look for signs directing you to Kilfane Demesne. The effigy is located within the demesne, which has a scenic cycling path.
